Dahlia Status

Out the beds several more plants have come back on their own. There are lot that still aren’t showing any sign of surviving the Winter, though, so that’s at least more places I might be able to put the ones from the grow racks.

The plastic wrap and fungicide technique of storing them has worked well again this year. So far only three tubers have been rotten and none of the others have been soft or shriveled.

Many of the tubers I started under lights last week now have stalks and leaves forming. I started another batch this week, so that’s around 60 so far even after discarding some and only keeping the most viable ones. There’s probably another 40-50 yet to go through.
